Actor Jin Shirasu appeared at a press conference held at TV Asahi (in Tokyo) for the drama "The Cheated Husband with 3 Months to Live" (Fridays at 11:15 PM, excluding some regions), which starts on April 24th, along with Hinako Sakurai, Kohei Shoji, Yua Shinkawa, and Mitsuomi Takahashi. He jokingly complained that he was being "oppressed" by his co-stars.
The drama is an adaptation of a vertical-scrolling manga by Webtoon studio "SORAJIMA," which has surpassed 100 million views in Japan. It is a revenge love suspense story in which Aoi (played by Shirasu), who has been diagnosed with a malignant tumor and given a limited time to live, discovers his wife Mizuki's (played by Sakurai) infidelity and goes on a quest for revenge to protect the future of his beloved son.
As soon as Shirasu appeared, he introduced himself as "a cheated-on husband with three months to live," which lightened the mood. When Shoji revealed that "Shirasu treats me a little roughly" regarding the filming set, Shirasu immediately retorted, "Isn't it the other way around? (laughs)"
Shinkawa nodded in agreement, saying, "Shoji and Hinami Mori(who plays Aoi's younger sister) treat Shirasu terribly, don't they?" Then she asked, "What does Hinami call you?" Shirasu revealed, "Shirasu Don," which sent the audience into fits of laughter. "I'm being mistreated (by my juniors)..." He added, with a touch of melancholy, just like his character, "I'm not used to being called 'Shirasu Don,' and I think he's probably forgotten it himself." Shinkawa then spoke of the reliable lead actor, saying, "It's been about four years (since I last worked with Shirasu), but I'm just going to ride on the stability and trustworthiness of Shirasu Jin. I'm having a great time."
