It was revealed on April 24th that OPANCHU USAGI and Npochamu, popular characters created by creator Kawaisou ni!, will be made into a 3D animated series. The TV anime, titled Kawaisou ni! Gekijou, will be broadcast on Nippon Television's morning information program "ZIP!" (Monday-Friday, 5:50 AM).
The anime will be written and storyboarded by Kawaisou ni! and produced by Marza Animation Planet, known for works such as "Tabekko Dobutsu THE MOVIE". Kawaisou ni! commented, "The new texture is so cute and endearing, it's the best!! The voices are also fantastic! Everyone involved always put their all into making it, so I'm really looking forward to it being broadcast and watching it. Thank you. I hope you enjoy it."
A promotional video and stills featuring OPANCHU USAGI have been released. A portion of the 3D animation currently in production will be shown exclusively at the "Congratulations on the Closure! Poor Department Store" exhibition, which will be held from April 25th at Sky Building B1 and B2 (Nishi Ward, Yokohama).
