The first episode of the drama series "Takusari Brothers" (TBS, Fridays at 10pm), starring actor Masaki Okada and co-starring Shota Sometani, aired on April 17th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 5.4% for households and 3.0% for individuals.
The drama follows the "Tagusari Brothers," older brother Makoto Tagusari (played by Okada), a detective, and younger brother Minoru Tagusari (played by Someya), a medical examiner, as they investigate a whirlwind of heinous crimes and the true culprit behind the murder of their parents, a case that expired just two days before the statute of limitations was abolished.
In the first episode, three weeks have passed since Makoto was assigned to the violent crimes division of the Qingwei Police Station. Makoto, who became a detective to pursue the person who murdered his parents, is partnered with Shiori Miyato (Ayami Nakajo), but he is reluctant to actively participate in the investigation because he finds it troublesome. Meanwhile, a body is found dead in a locked room, and he is tasked with investigating it together with his younger brother, Minoru, who has become a medical examiner. Makoto clashes with Minoru, who refuses to offer any speculation. And then, numerous questions arise. When, where, and why did the mysterious body die? Makoto finds himself at a dead end... and the story unfolds from there.
