The second episode of the NTV drama series "Tsukiyo Koro - The Answer Lies in Masterpieces -" (Wednesdays at 10 PM), starring Haru and Kumiko Aso, aired on April 15th. Towards the end of the episode, there was a scene in which Luna (Haru) takes a picture of Ryoko (Aso), who has fallen asleep first, with her smartphone and sends the photo to someone, which caused a stir on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers.
In episode 2, Ryoko and Luna set out to find Ryoko's college sweetheart, Kazuto (Ryuto Sakuma). However, the only clues they have are that he "lives in Osaka," "inherited his parents' business," and "his last name is Sato." Ryoko is at a loss, but Luna insists that the key to finding Kazuto lies in the library.
Following the clues they've uncovered, they arrive in Doshomachi, a town also known as the setting for Junichiro Tanizaki's masterpiece, "Shunkinsho." The two visit the kimono shop "Sato Shokai," but are turned away by the shop owner, Yoriko (Masami Hisamoto), who carries a white cane, who tells them, "We don't serve first-time customers." Furthermore, they learn that Tamura (Shuntaro Yanagi) and Kominato (Kiyohiko Shibukawa) are investigating a robbery and murder case in the neighborhood.
Amidst the unsettling atmosphere, Luna realizes the true meaning behind Yoriko's words, "No first-time customers allowed." Yoriko had been pretending to be blind to protect the two from a robber who was present. Luna and Ryoko rush back to the shop and confront the robber. They face a crisis, but with the help of Tamura and others who arrive on the scene, the robber is apprehended...and so the story unfolds.
After the case was solved, Ryoko returned to the inn and told Luna that she was determined to continue her search for Kazuto. Then, Luna approached Ryoko, who had fallen asleep first, and took a picture of her sleeping with her smartphone. She then sent the photo to her "darling" with the message, "The princess has gone to sleep."
Social media was abuzz with comments such as, "Huh? What does this mean?", "Why is she taking pictures of him sleeping and sending them?! To whom?! Her husband?!", "Is Luna's mom perhaps being asked to do this by Kikuo's dad?", "Could her darling be Kazuto?", "Who is this darling? Someone related to Kazuto? Or Kazuto himself?"
