"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Fridays at 11:17 PM) is a popular variety show where "detectives" tackle bizarre requests and worries submitted by viewers. On April 17th, Detective Matsui Kemuri investigated the request to "remove a gigantic hornet's nest."
Special Director Yokoyama Yu, Assistant Director Ishida Yasushi, and Secretary Masuda Saori appeared on the show.
The request came from a 41-year-old woman in Nagano Prefecture. Her fifth-grade son loves beehives. He thinks about beehives, beehives, beehives all the time, whether he's awake or asleep. It's not that he likes bees, but rather that he's fascinated by beehives.
In the area where the woman lives, wasps often build nests under the eaves of houses or in trees. So, she collects nests from acquaintances' houses and displays them in her own home. When she goes out, she is always looking for wasp nests and knows almost where they are located in town. However, it seems that there are some that her son cannot collect on his own, so she was asking if she could get some help.
The client's son, Kakeru, loves the feel and look of beehives. What he needs the help of the Smoke Detective is "driving." They found a yellow jacket nest in a nearby storehouse and, with the owner's permission, set out to remove it, but it was quite high up and they couldn't reach it with the pole they had prepared.
That's when an 88-year-old expert who claims to be able to communicate with bees rushed to the scene with his apprentice. According to the expert, who has led an incredible life with bees, "Removing the nest is easy." Will Kakeru be able to get his hands on the beehive high up in the sky?
