Actors Masaki Okada and Shota Sometani appeared at a special premiere event for the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers" (Fridays at 10 PM) held in Tokyo on April 15th.
The drama follows the Tagusari Brothers as they investigate a whirlwind of heinous crimes while simultaneously pursuing the real culprit behind a 31-year-old case of their parents' murder, which expired just two days before the statute of limitations was abolished. The first episode will air on April 17th.
Okada plays the older brother, Shin Tagasari, a detective, while Someya plays the younger brother, Minoru Tagasari, a medical examiner. Okada proudly stated, "I think we were able to really convey the brotherly bond (with Someya) in episodes 1 and 2." Someya commented, "There are suspense elements, but in episodes 1 and 2, I felt that it's a story about family, a story about love between people, and a really warm story."
At the end of the event, Okada said, "As Someya-kun said, I think this drama is filled with a lot of love. I would be happy if you would watch until the very end to see what kind of lives our brothers lead."
Ayami Nakajo, Haruka Igawa, Goro Kishitani, and JP also appeared at the event.
