It has been announced that Yoshimura Sen's manga "To You, the Genderless 'Mona Lisa'," which was serialized in "Gangan ONLINE" (Square Enix), will be adapted into a TV anime. Shaft, known for works such as "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" and the "<Monogatari> series," will be producing the animation.
"To You, the 'Mona Lisa' of Gender" is a coming-of-age story set in a world where a person's body changes to their desired gender around the age of 12, and is determined as either male or female at 14. The story follows Hinase, the only one who remains "genderless" even at 18, as she confronts her own identity and love. It has sold over 1 million copies.
The main cast information will be announced and a teaser PV will be released on August 1st at "AnimagiC2026," one of Europe's largest anime conventions, held in Mannheim, Germany.
