Actress Saki Takaoka will be appearing as a guest on the MBS talk variety show "Tsukai! Akashiya TV" airing on April 11th at 3 PM.
Takaoka, who entered the entertainment industry at the age of 14, won the "3rd Cinderella Contest" hosted by shoe manufacturer Madras, and made her acting debut. At the time, she was the talk of the town as the "perfect 15-year-old," and the debut commercial, in which MC Akashiya Sanma was surprised by her alluring charm, is now being released.
Later, the phrase "For celebrities, teeth are everything" from a TV commercial became a popular catchphrase, leading to her big break. However, Takaoka says that when she received the offer, she struggled with the thought, "If I do this commercial, won't it be the end of my career?"
Among the questions from the audience was a direct one: "Please teach us the secrets to being a femme fatale!" Takaoka, who is bewildered by being called a femme fatale, asks Kanpei Hazama, with whom she has been friends for 30 years, "I'm not a femme fatale, am I?"
Kanpei replied hesitantly, "She's a devil." Then Shigemori Satomi testified about how Kanpei was smitten before filming, saying, "Kanpei was totally smitten. He had a smile I'd never seen before." Murakami Shoji added, "He suddenly started brushing his teeth," and Nakagawa Tsuyoshi recreated Kanpei's reaction when Takaoka asked him for a two-shot photo.
