It was announced on April 7th that "Time Agent -LINK CLICK-," a popular original Chinese anime distributed on the Chinese video streaming service "bilibili," will be adapted into a stage play. The Japanese remake, titled "'Time Agent -LINK CLICK- Game of Rules' THE MUSICAL," which was produced and performed in Shanghai, China in 2024 by Zero Generation Production, will be performed at IMM THEATER (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) from June 18th to 28th.
The cast has also been announced, with Naoki Takeko playing Toki/Cheng Xiaoshi, Hiroki Sana playing Hikaru/Lu Guang, and Moeka Koizumi playing Lin/Qiao Ling. Haruna Ishii will play Emma/Wu Lihua, Kohei Kamiyama will play Liu Min, Mashiro Yanggao will play Xu Shanshan, Tatsuya Kageyama will play Dong Yi, Joji Saotome will play Zhu Ye/Liu Jing, Masahiro Kuranuki will play Xiao Li, Torayoshi Iida will play Chen Bin, Daiki Kato will play Emma's father, and Shizue Asami will play Emma's mother.
"Time Agent -LINK CLICK-" depicts Toki (Cheng Xiaoshi) and Hikaru (Lu Guang), who run the Time Photo Studio in a bustling downtown area, using their special abilities to solve cases for clients haunted by their pasts. It began streaming on bilibili in April 2021 and surpassed 160 million total views worldwide in about four months. It has gained popularity in China, where it has been adapted into a drama and a stage play, and in Japan, where a dubbed anime version has been broadcast.
