A new program, "Akko to Jumbo" (TBS, Tuesdays 12:56 AM - 1:26 AM), featuring singer Akiko Wada and Jumbo Takao of the comedy duo "Rainbow," will begin airing on the night of April 7th.
This "street-walking variety show" features two men with large physiques and a strong presence strolling around town in search of hidden gems. Wada, who is strongly associated with hosting shows like "Akko ni Omakase!" which recently aired its final episode, ventures out into the city and "goes wild," unleashing a full range of emotions.
The first episode features a stroll around the Tokyo Tower area. Their first stop is a pottery studio near the tower, where Wada tries his hand at pottery for the first time, something he's "always wanted to try." However, once he starts working, he struggles greatly with the delicate movements. The clay deforms into an unexpected shape, prompting Jumbo to comment on it.
There's a scene where Jumbo presents Wada with a baseball uniform-style shirt as a "uniform for location shoots." However, the moment Wada learns the meaning of "a certain number" engraved on the back, the situation becomes extremely tense.
