A project has been launched to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the TV anime "STEINS;GATE," which is based on a popular adventure game. A special 15th-anniversary illustration has been released, featuring the lab members, including Rintaro Okabe, Mayuri Shiina, Itaru Hashida, Kurisu Makise, Moeka Kiryu, Ruka Urushibara, Faris Nyan-Nyan, and Suzuha Amane, reunited once again.
It was also announced that a large-scale exhibition commemorating the anime's 15th anniversary will be held in July in Akihabara, Tokyo, the "sacred site" of the series.
"Steins;Gate" is the second installment in the "Science Adventure Series," an adventure game series based on science. It depicts young people confronting a future tragedy stemming from a time machine system developed in Akihabara. It was released in 2009 for Xbox 360 and other platforms, and an anime television series aired from April to September 2011.
