Singer and TV personality Ano, also known as "Ano-chan," attended a press conference in Tokyo on April 2nd for the drama series "Aku no Hana" (TV Tokyo, Thursdays at midnight), which will begin airing on April Getsuku. She praised her co-star, Fuku Suzuki, saying, "He's good at taking punches. It was fun to punch him."
On this day, Ami Igashira and Aruno Nakanishi from the idol group " Nogizaka46 " were also present, and they shared behind-the-scenes stories from the filming, using flip charts. When asked about notable scenes, it was revealed that there is a scene towards the end where Ano punches Suzuki, and Nakanishi praised it, saying, "It was a great punch and a great fight, and I was watching it on the monitor, but it was a punch that drew cheers (on set)."
When Ano praised Suzuki, saying, "I put a lot of emotion into hitting him. (Suzuki) is good at being hit. It was satisfying to hit him," Suzuki replied, "I get hit and kicked a lot from the beginning of episode 1 (laughs). I think the final form of that is packed into that scene. I hope you'll pay attention to it." MC announcer Yuka Takezaki also praised him, saying, "It was addictive. I want to see more of Fuku (being hit). He had a great expression," to which Suzuki responded with a wry smile, "I'm not sure if I should be happy about it or not."
Suzuki stated, "This is a work that the cast and staff poured their hearts and souls into creating. It's one of the most daring dramas on TV Tokyo, and I think it shows that it's okay to be this daring even as terrestrial television becomes increasingly strict."
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Shuzo Oshimi, which was serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 2009 to 2014. It is a dramatic coming-of-age story depicting the "reckless behavior" of adolescent boys and girls. It consists of 12 episodes.
