The comedy duo "Bakusho Mondai" will host a special program, "Solving the Mysteries! Legendary Mysteries" (TV Asahi), which will air on March 31st at 8:10 PM. Titled "New Theory! From Nobunaga to Hideyoshi: Why Did They Conquer Japan? 7 Mysteries SP," the program will reveal surprising new theories.
This episode unravels seven mysteries, including the truth behind the famous anecdote of the "sandal bearer." It also reveals the true nature of "Sunomata Ichiyajo," the castle built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in a single night and said to be the starting point of his rise to power, the secrets surrounding the enormous "Toyotomi money," and the mystery surrounding "Nobunaga's funeral," which Hideyoshi hosted.
Furthermore, we will visit a secret place within the mausoleum "Otamaya" at Kodai-ji Temple (Kyoto), which was built by Hideyoshi's wife, Nene, and is a sacred site that is normally off-limits. It is said that the reason why Nene remained the principal wife despite having no heir is hidden here. We will take a special tour that allows us to see the entire mausoleum, which is normally off-limits, by passing through "the passage that Nene used".
In addition, a letter from Hideyoshi's younger brother, Hidenaga, which is usually kept private, will be specially exhibited. This letter is said to contain clues to the reason why Hideyoshi was able to capture Odani Castle, a seemingly impregnable mountain castle built by the Asai family. Other items that are usually not on public display, such as Hideyoshi's surviving molar, will also be investigated.
