It has been revealed that a new content series, "Ojamajo Doremi," based on the popular anime "Ojamajo Doremi Doremi," will be launched. Official YouTube and TikTok accounts have been opened, and short animated videos have begun streaming. The series features "Doremignon," the Ojamajo girls who were "born from Hana-chan's tears."
Illustrator and character designer Imomushi reinterprets the adorable characters created by Yoshihiko Umakoshi as "cute little pranksters who bring daily laughter and small encouragement," and they will appear in a short anime.
Executive producer Hiromi Seki commented, "More than 25 years have passed since the birth of ' Ojamajo Doremi,' and the number of people who are unfamiliar with the series has increased. 'Doremi-nyon' was born from the desire to deliver that rich worldview to people living in today's era. It's a work overflowing with relatable, everyday emotions like 'chuckles,' 'shudders,' and 'warm and fuzzy' that everyone can relate to. Please enjoy the new world of 'Doremi'."
Kaori Takayanagi, the project producer, said, "The 'Doremi-nyon' project was born from the idea of 'little Doremis that are close to our daily lives,' with the character designs decided mainly by the voices of young people in the company. While cherishing the 'Doremi-ness' that everyone has loved so far, we hope to deliver new ways to enjoy the series through short videos and merchandise, not only to fans of the 'Doremi' series but also to people all over the world who have never experienced it before. The music is also an original arrangement that is cute and makes you want to dance, so we hope everyone will enjoy it."
"Ojamajo Doremi" depicts the daily lives of Doremi, the protagonist who becomes a witch apprentice, and her friends as they train to become full-fledged witches. The first season of the TV anime aired from February 1999 to January 2000, the second season, "Ojamajo Doremi# (Sharp)," from February 2000 to January 2001, the third season, "Motto! Ojamajo Doremi," from February 2001 to January 2002, and the fourth season, "Ojamajo Doremi Dokka~n!", from February 2002 to January 2003. The theatrical anime film "Looking for Magical Doremi," released in 2020 to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary, also garnered attention.
