It has been announced that Cookie!, a member of the comedy duo "Yasei Bakudan," will appear in the movie "Agito - Superpower War -" (directed by Ryuta Tasaki), which will be released on April 29th as a commemorative work for the 55th anniversary of Kamen Rider's creation. He will play the owner of a soba noodle shop, and although his appearance will be brief, he will appear in an "important scene" involving Aoi Ruriko, played by model Yuuchami.
Producer Yoshikawa Fumiki praised Cookie!, saying, "He was exceptionally well-prepared." He also revealed Cookie!'s helpful nature on set, saying, "Yuchami was extremely nervous when they started filming the soba shop scene, but she seemed to relax considerably after chatting with Cookie!."
The film is the latest theatrical release of "Kamen Rider Agito," the second series in the Heisei Kamen Rider series, which achieved the highest average viewership rating in the series (11.7% in the Kanto region). Jun Kaname, who played Kamen Rider G3/Makoto Hikawa in "Agito," stars in the film, and the original cast, including Toshiki Kashu as Kamen Rider Agito/Shoichi Tsugami, reunites for the role. As with the TV series, director Tasaki is at the helm, and Toshiki Inoue is in charge of the screenplay. The film depicts the rampage of those with power and the resolve of those without, in a world where people are beginning to awaken to "superpowers" one after another. Rated PG12.
