A new installment of the anime "I Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table," based on the light novel by Yuji Ukai of MF Bunko J (KADOKAWA), titled "I Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table 44: CLOUDY BEACH," has been produced and will be screened in theaters for a limited two-week run starting July 10th. The game visual "Cloudy Beach" and a Teaser trailer have been released.
The work is a light novel written by Ukai and illustrated by Nekometal. The story follows a 17-year-old ghost who is a professional at deadly games, and who lives off the prize money he earns from these games while aiming for a winning streak. It has been attracting attention for being selected as the No. 1 new work in the "This Light Novel is Amazing! 2024" (Takarajimasha) and for winning an Excellence Award at the "18th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Award". The comic adaptation is also gaining popularity.
The TV anime aired from January to March.
