A special program celebrating the 60th anniversary of the tokusatsu drama series "Ultraman," titled "Ultraman Memorable Scenes Special: Ultraman Series 60th Anniversary," will air on NHK BS on March 28th at 6 PM. In addition to showcasing memorable scenes from "Ultraman" and "Ultra Seven," the program will also delve into the origin story of Ultraman and the special effects technology of the time.
The program will be broadcast to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Ultraman's creation this year. It will feature rare footage from the "Ultraman Eve Festival" which was shown one week before the first broadcast of "Ultraman," as well as the story behind the creation of Ultraman and his signature move, the Spacium Ray.
During the program, guests who are big fans of the "Ultraman" series, including Ryoma Hamada, who played the main character Riku Asakura in "Ultraman Geed," and Shinji Higuchi, the director of the movie "Shin Ultraman," will reveal their favorite monsters and aliens. In addition, the production site of the "4K Remastered Version of Return of Ultraman," which is scheduled to air this summer, will also be revealed.
