A commemorative visual has been released for the conclusion of the anime "BEASTARS," which is based on the manga by Paru Itagaki serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten). The series concluded with the release of "BEASTARS FINAL SEASON" Part 2 on Netflix on March 7th. The visual depicts Legoshi enjoying a wrap-up party at "Bebebe," the udon restaurant where he works part-time.
To commemorate the series' conclusion, it was also announced that seasons 1 and 2 of the TV anime will be streamed for free on YouTube starting March 15th. This will be available for 24 hours only.
"BEASTARS" is a manga featuring anthropomorphic animals, set in a world where carnivores and herbivores coexist and "killing and eating" is taboo. It depicts the ensemble drama of animals, including Legoshi, a gray wolf. It also gained attention for being selected for the "Manga Taisho Award 2018." It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" from 2016 to 2020.
The anime was produced by Orange, known for works such as "Land of the Lustrous." Chikahiro Kobayashi voices Legoshi, and Sayaka Sembongi voices Haru. The first season aired from October to December 2019, and the second season aired from January to March 2021. Part 1 of the "FINAL SEASON" began streaming on Netflix in December 2024.
