It has been announced that a third season of the TV anime "The Dangers in My Heart," based on the popular manga serialized on Akita Shoten's manga website "Champion Cross," is in production and will air in 2027.
Original author Norio Sakurai commented, "Everyone! The production of the third season of the TV anime ' The Dangers in My Heart' has been decided! This is truly all thanks to everyone's warm support, the cast, and the efforts of each and every staff member. I am deeply grateful. I never thought that it would go up to a third season, so I have fond memories of ending the original manga nicely in volume 8. I look forward to seeing how the world of these two will continue to be beautifully colored in the future."
An illustration of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada drawn by character designer Masato Katsumata has also been released.
"The Dangers in My Heart" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) in 2018 and is currently serialized in "Champion Cross" (also Akita Shoten). It is a romantic comedy about Ichikawa Kyotaro, an introverted boy in the throes of chuunibyou (eighth-grade syndrome), and Anna Yamada, a popular and beautiful girl at the top of the school's social hierarchy. It has been ranked in the male category of "Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" (This Kono Manga ga Sugoi!) for two consecutive years, 2020 and 2021, and has gained popularity, winning first place in the web manga category of the "Next Manga Award 2020". The cumulative sales of the comic books exceed 7 million copies.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from January to March 2024, both in TV Asahi's late-night anime block "NUMAnimation." The theatrical anime film "The Dangers in My Heart" was released on February 13th, which has also generated buzz.
