Episode 21, "Passionate," of the TV anime "Medalist," based on a popular figure skating manga, will air on TV Asahi's late-night anime block "NUMAnimation" starting March 14th.
Inori and Tsukasa are reunited with Uobuchi in Niigata. Uobuchi immediately begins correcting Inori's jumps, while at the same time handing the harness to Tsukasa and giving them advice, pointing out areas for improvement in each of them. Meanwhile, Uobuchi makes a new suggestion to Tsukasa.
"Medalist" is a manga by Tsurumai Ikada that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" (Kodansha) since 2020. The story follows Akira Michiji, a young man who failed as a skater, as he meets Kessoku Inori, a girl who longs for the world of figure skating, and together they aim to become a glorious medalist as coach and athlete. The first season of the TV anime aired on NUMAnimation from January to March 2025. The second season is currently airing in the same time slot. A theatrical anime film depicting the story after the second season will be released in 2027.
