TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appears! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9pm) will feature Amazake Yokocho in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, on its March 14th broadcast.
Amazake Yokocho is a charming downtown walking street. It is about 400 meters long and lined with long-established shops and famous stores. On March 24th, the Cherry Blossom Festival is held, and free amazake is distributed.
The program will feature the classic souvenir! A sweet and fluffy omelet from a long-established restaurant; a weekday-only time sale at a famous sukiyaki restaurant; a sophisticated Showa-era atmosphere! Take-out oden; the popular Neapolitan pizza! The famous "N'diya"; a bistro that is fully booked a year in advance, and the famous cassoulet; and a shop specializing in roasted green tea, which also serves herbs and cherry blossom sticks.
In addition, local famous restaurants are also popular! A long-established tofu shop run by a large family and a long-established Western restaurant that decided to continue despite being in danger of closing will be introduced. We will also introduce the "wig master" for Kabuki who was involved in the film "National Treasure."
The guests are freelance announcer Mika Horii and kabuki actor Nakamura Hayato.
