It has Yuji Terajima of Municipal Third High School in the sequel to the TV anime series Ace of Ace of Diamond actII, based on the second part of the popular baseball manga Ace of Ace of Diamond by Yuji Terajima. Miyata commented, "I was really happy when I was chosen to play the role of Senmaru Koji. At the same time, I felt a lot of pressure to be among such an illustrious cast. I would be happy if I could become a part of the youth of the viewers by taking part in a work that is right in the middle of their youth."
The theme song artists were also announced, with singer-songwriter Baby Canta performing the opening theme "Let's Go Crazy" and the popular group SUPER★DRAGON performing the ending theme "NUMBER."
The second promotional video, featuring the opening theme "Let's Go Crazy," has been released on YouTube. It shows the fighting spirit of the players from each school participating in the National High School Baseball Championship Tokyo Tournament, and features rivals such as Inagi Jitsugyo High School, Municipal University Third High School, and Yakushi High School.
Baby Canta commented, "At first I couldn't believe how big a role it was, but I created a song full of passion, so as to match the passionate spirit of the characters. The title is 'Let's Go Crazy'! It's a song of encouragement written with the characters in mind, as they work desperately towards their dreams! It's such a powerful song that I feel inspired myself when I sing it, so I hope you will listen to it along with the film!"
Furukawa Takeshi of SUPER★DRAGON said, "I had known the title for a while as it is a very popular work, but when I was approached about the project I read the original work for the first time. I cried many times while reading all the volumes in one go, and I thought that we should just sing about 'youth' in a straightforward way. Including the process of creating it while all the production members had fun, I think we have created a work that we are confident in, which is infused with respect for ' Ace of Diamond' in a way that is typical of SUPER★DRAGON. I am really looking forward to the moment when this song plays at the end."
"Ace of Diamond act II -Second Season-" is the sequel to the TV anime "Ace of Diamond act II," which aired from April 2019 to March 2020, and is the first in about six years. It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks from April 5th.
"Ace of Diamond" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in 2006. The second part, "Ace of Diamond act II," ran in the same magazine from 2015 to 2022. The story follows the protagonist, Eijun Sawamura, who enrolls in Seidou High School, a prestigious high school baseball team, and aims to reach the national top of high school baseball alongside Kazuya Miyuki, Satoru Furuya Haruichi Kominato on the baseball team.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2013 to March 2015, the second season from April 2015 to March 2016, and "act II" from April 2019 to March 2020.
