New footage from the upcoming TV anime series "Ascendance of a Shosetsuka ni Naro Daughter," based on the popular light novel "Ascendance of a Bookworm: I'll Do Anything to Become a Librarian," which is available on the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist," will be released over four consecutive weeks, and the first of these, "Bookworm Special Movie: Family Love Edition," has been released on YouTube.
The video focuses on Myne, a book-loving girl from the downtown area, who changes her name to protect her beloved family and steps into aristocratic society as Rosemyne, the lord's adopted daughter. However, she is forbidden from interacting with her real family and feels a deep loneliness, but continues to face various challenges, as well as the strong bond she forms with her downtown family. The chorus of the ending theme "Ima mo, Arigato" (Thank You Even Now), sung by Ikuta Erika, has also been released for the first time. The "Fantasy Edition," "Fantasy Edition," and "Book-Making Edition" will be released in the future.
The series is a light novel written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by Yu Shiina. It follows Urano Motosu, a girl living in modern-day Japan, who dies on the day she secures her dream job at a library. She regains consciousness as Myne, a young girl in another world ruled by nobles with magical powers, and struggles to obtain a book. The series has sold over 13 million copies. The first season of the anime aired from October to December 2019, the second from April to June 2020, and the third from April to June 2022.
In "Ascendance of a Bookworm: The Lord's Adopted Daughter," Myne chooses to live as the lord's adopted daughter, Rozemyne, in order to protect her family and friends in the downtown area. Produced by WIT STUDIO, the studio behind "SPY x FAMILY" and "Attack on Titan Season 3," the series will feature voice actors including Iguchi Yuka as Rozemyne and Show Hayami as Ferdinand. The series will air on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV nationwide from April 4th, every Saturday at 5:30pm. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
