NHK's history program "Rekishi Tantei" (General) will broadcast "Nobunaga's Guards on the Move!" from 10:00 pm on March 4th. The program will feature the "Nobunaga's Guards," a group of young warriors who supported the young Oda Nobunaga.
The young Oda Nobunaga was known as "the fool." His rapid advance was supported behind the scenes by Nobunaga's personal guard. This story follows young warriors brimming with individuality and talent, including Maeda Toshiie, who would later lay the foundation for Kaga's one million koku domain, and Sasaki Narimasa, who boldly resisted the Toyotomi government, as they fight for their lord, armed with spears, guns, and wits.
They were also the origin of the "Strongest Oda Corps" that caused a whirlwind in the turbulent times. We welcomed Yamaguchi Makiya, who plays Shibata Katsuie in the NHK's taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)", to the studio to explore the behind-the-scenes of this elite gathering.
