It has been announced that the latest installment in the popular baseball game series "Jikkyo Powerful Pro Baseball (Pawapuro)" (Konami Digital Entertainment), "Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027," will be released for Nintendo Switch and PS4 on June 11th. To commemorate the WBC, players can enjoy special "Success" and "Showdown! Legend Battle" modes themed around the tournament. Shohei Ohtani's abilities have also been revealed.
Otani continues to play in the previous game with his original sweeper pitch, and his ball speed of 164 km/h makes him one of the fastest pitchers in the latest game. As a batter, his power has been increased to "S98" and he now has the special ability "Intimidation," which lowers the ability of opposing pitchers.
In "Success," you can train original players as you progress through the story and enjoy a scenario set in the WBC. The game features a buddy system that allows you to train with your favorite players and improve together, and depending on the player you pair up with, you can train in a variety of ways.
In "Showdown! Legend Battle," you can train your own original player while competing in a serious one-turn at-bat against past Japanese national team players from the WBC and current professional baseball players. If you win the fifth game of each round, you can acquire the Japanese national team player you defeated, and national team players from other countries will appear in the bonus stage.
