The sixth episode of the Fuji TV drama series "Tokyo PD: Metropolitan Police Department Public Relations Unit 2" (Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actor Fukushi Sota, was broadcast on March 3rd, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 4.3% for households and 2.4% for individuals.
"Tokyo PD: Metropolitan Police Department Public Relations Division 2" is a socially conscious police drama with a completely original story. It depicts the pride and dignity, conflicts and struggles between the Metropolitan Police Department's public relations department and the detectives on the scene. Imaizumi Rintaro (played by Fukushi) was supposed to be assigned to the First Investigation Division for certain reasons, but ends up being sent to the Second Public Relations Division. Also appearing in the series are Ogata Naoto, Yoshikawa Ai, Masana Bokuzo, Takezai Terunosuke, and Ota Rina.
Episode 6 was titled "The perpetrator, his family's personal information exposed, and the trap."
A random street attack occurs in Tokyo, and a man emerges as a suspect, but before the Metropolitan Police Department can make an announcement, information about the man and his family spreads online, resulting in a flood of interviews and slanderous comments.
