The 20th episode of the TV anime "Medalist," based on a popular figure skating manga, titled "Ice Lake," will be broadcast on TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "NUMAnimation" from March 7th.
Through training with a harness from jumping expert Uobuchi Sho, Inori is able to jump a triple flip and a triple lutz. Tsukasa, impressed by the results, decides to buy a harness. A few days later, Inori begins practicing with Tsukasa's harness, but hits another wall.
"Medalist" is a manga by Tsurumai Kada that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" (Kodansha) since 2020. The story follows Akiura Michiji, a young man who has failed as a skater, who meets Yuzuki Inori, a girl who dreams of becoming a figure skater, and aims to become a glorious medalist as both a coach and athlete. The first season of the TV anime aired on NUMAnimation from January to March 2025. The second season is currently airing in the same time slot. A theatrical anime film depicting the story following the second season will be released in 2027.
