It has been announced that the new theatrical version of the popular anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," "Puella Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten," will be released on August 28th.
The film was originally scheduled for release in winter 2024, but was postponed to winter 2025. It was further postponed and was scheduled for release in February of this year, but another postponement was announced.
"Puella Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten" is the official sequel to "Puella Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion," which was released in October 2013. The staff, including general director Akiyuki Shinbo and screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, will be reuniting.

"Part 3: Rebellion," released in 2013, became the first late-night anime film to surpass 2 billion yen in box office revenue.
