A figure of Messala from the anime "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" will be released as "ROBOT Spirits <SIDE MS> PMX-000 Messala ver. ANIME" from Bandai Spirits' "ROBOT Spirits" series. It will cost 18,700 yen.
This figure is a 3D representation of the Messala, a high-thrust transformable mobile armor developed by Paptimus Scirocco, a genius who returned from Jupiter. Standing approximately 23cm tall in MS form, it's a massive figure. The transformation mechanism requires no parts to be swapped, and the torso extension gimmick allows for both the proportions from the design drawings and those seen in the film.
The retractable claws on the arms can be opened and closed, and the forearm also features a beam saber storage gimmick. The aim was to create the "definitive Messala."
Pre-orders will be accepted from 4pm on February 27th on Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, Premium Bandai. Shipment is scheduled for August.
