The sixth episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10pm), starring actress Shida Mirai, aired on February 24th. The poor timing of nursery school teacher Matsuoka Yuta, played by Kotaki Nozomu of the popular group WEST., became a hot topic on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers
Yuta revealed to his uncle Yoshizumi (Makita Sports), the director of Yoshizumi Nursery School, that Mirai (Shida) was his first love. He also said that he wanted to support Mirai, who has suddenly become a mother to Souta (Amano Yu), and is working hard towards her dreams despite the difficult situation.
However, Yoshizumi points out that there is only so much he can do as a nursery teacher. He says he can't help Mirai unless he is closer to her, and encourages her to "go wilder." He ruffles Yuta's hair, opens the buttons on his shirt, and encourages him, saying, "Go for it, you can go wild!"
Later. On the way to a gathering with the theater company, Yuta tells Mirai, "There's something I want to tell you, Mirai." Immediately after saying "by your side, Mirai," Yuta pushes his hair back, creating a "wild" look. As he hesitates, saying "by your side... me, me," Mirai is called by a member of the theater company and leaves. Furthermore, at the gathering, it is revealed that Mirai and Makoto (Hyodo Kokai) are dating.
On social media, comments such as "Ma-sensei was too cute trying to look wild. Wild = hair pushed back - cute too," "Wild Ma-sensei was so funny I laughed lol," "Ma-sensei's timing was terrible," "Ma-sensei missed the timing before he could go completely wild," "Do your best Ma-sensei! You can do it from here!", "Ma-sensei, you're so mean!" and "Sorry Ma-sensei" were widespread.
