It was announced at a press conference held at NHK in Shibuya, Tokyo on February 18th that Ange will be joining the NHK Educational TV children's program "Okaasan to Issho" (Monday to Saturday, 7:45 AM) as the new "dance sister." Ange's father is British and her mother is Japanese, and she grew up in Okinawa Prefecture. She started classical ballet at the age of two and studied a wide range of dance genres, including contemporary dance, jazz dance, and hip hop, in junior high, high school, and university. She is expected to graduate from university in March of this year.
Her special skills are ballet and jazz dance. Her hobbies are listening to music, visiting hot springs, and finding cute characters in capsule toys. Her favorite foods are chocolate, gummies, and cheese. Her favorite sport is snowboarding. Her favorite animals are rabbits, cats, and dogs. Her favorite colors are pink and light blue.
Ange greeted the audience with a smile, saying, "I aim to be a dancing sister who can bring energy to many children and people all over Japan. I want to make many people smile. I'd be happy if you could call me Big Sister Ann."
She continued, "I've loved dancing since I was little, and I've always dreamed of dancing in front of people and making them smile, and of putting smiles on the faces of children through my performances, so I'm very happy," expressing her delight at being selected as the dancing older sister. "I'd be happy if I could dance, sing, and do my own style of dance with my friends and family who come to the studio," she said.
The program will air a week-long "Anjutsu Onee-san Special" from March 23rd, featuring a quiz corner looking back on memories from the past seven years, rhythmic gymnastics games, and more. March 28th will be Anju's final appearance, and she will become a regular on the March 30th broadcast.
