The 98th episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakeke" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Takaishi Akari, was broadcast on February 18th, and the shocking reason why Tsukasa Nosuke (Okabe Takashi) got involved in the azuki bean market was revealed, causing a stir among viewers.
In episode 97 (broadcast on February 18th), Tsukasa nosuke steals a large sum of money from his house and has a secret rendezvous with a suspicious-looking man, Arakane Kyushuo (played by Shukugawa Atom). Tsukasa nosuke puts the large sum into the "azuki bean market" proposed by Arakane.
In episode 98, Tsukasasuke went to see Arakane again and nervously asked, "What happened? How about the azuki beans?" Arakane replied, "The azuki bean market price... Just like I said, it's skyrocketed!"
Tsukasasuke then becomes angry, saying, "No! It's not what I thought. Why... why did it increase?" He confesses the shocking reason why he entrusted his money to Arakane, saying, "It shouldn't have increased. I would have lost all my money, been saddled with huge debts, and hit rock bottom. So I entrusted it to you, hoping to live a fulfilling life, like when I lived in the tenement house a long time ago, with a sense of urgency and determination. I believed in your suspicious nature... and even went into debt, so it's strange!"
He further pleaded, "I don't feel like I'm alive... Let me borrow money. Light a fire under me!", to which Arakane was stunned, saying, "That's ridiculous!"
Comments on social media included, "What an unexpected turn of events," "I have no idea what they're saying," "I was getting fed up thinking, here we go again, but then I was shocked by the unexpected turn of events," "Tsukasasuke's desire for destruction made me look serious," "Tsukasasuke is making a ton of money lol," "Tsukasasuke, don't get mad after making money!" and "Tsukasasuke needs thrills and excitement, I laughed out loud at him."
