It has been announced that Nene Hieda will be appearing as a voice actress in the TV anime "Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo," based on the manga by Akira Konno that was serialized in "Gessan" (Shogakukan). Hieda will play the role of Makoto Mitsugi, a childhood friend of the main character, Arata Koda.
Regarding his impression of the work, Hieda commented, "Kujima's every move is so funny and cute! Watching Kujima enjoying and being amazed by Japanese culture, events, and everyday happenings with a fresh mind somehow reminds me of my childhood... It reminds me of the sparkle of purity that I have forgotten as I get older."
Regarding her role as Mitsugi Makoto, she said, "When it comes to middle school boys and girls of the same age, I have the image that girls tend to be more mature... Makoto is the same age as Arata, but she's good at studying and caring, so I played her with the awareness that she has a slightly higher mental age than Arata. However, in her interactions with the tricky Kujima, she makes some harsh remarks (laughs), and I think you can also see Makoto's various expressions and the cuteness appropriate for her age!"
The series is a home comedy in which a mysterious creature named "Kujima" comes to live with the Koda family, bringing a breath of fresh air to the family, where the atmosphere is somewhat tense.
The anime will be directed by Noriyuki Nomata and produced by Studio Hibari. Yuria Kozuki will play Kujima and Ayumu Murase will play Arata Koda. It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from April.
