On February 10th, actor Takumi Kitamura, who serves as the Dior Japan ambassador, attended an event for the Dior Bamboo Pavilion (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo), a concept store that Dior will open in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
With February 14th approaching, he was asked about his memories of Valentine's Day, to which he replied with a wry smile, "I don't really have much experience receiving chocolate...I was in the basketball club in middle school, but I was in the "non-chocolate club" where we didn't get any chocolate."
"Everyone around me was receiving chocolates from their true love or from obligatory gifts, but no one gave me any (laughs). Maybe there was something wrong with my personality... It was so dark that I didn't talk to anyone. Valentine's Day is a bitter memory. I never even had any on my desk," she said with a touch of self-deprecation.
The Dior Bamboo Pavilion is a concept store with a design inspired by Japanese bamboo forests, where you can experience the world of Dior, from men's and women's fashion to jewelry and custom-made items. It will also have a cafe and will open on February 12th.
Dior Japan ambassadors Yuko Araki, Ryusei Yokohama, and Rikako Yagi also attended the opening event.
