The fifth episode of the drama series "Reunion ~Silent Truth~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Ryoma Takeuchi, will air on February 10th. The drama is a film adaptation of Yokoseki Dai's novel "Reunion" (Kodansha), which won the 56th Edogawa Rampo Prize (2010), starring Takeuchi. Four classmates share a "secret" that they buried the gun used in a crime under a cherry tree during their elementary school days. 23 years later, Junichi (Takeuchi), who has become a detective, reunites with his first love, Iwamoto Makiko (Inoue Mao), one of the four, only to find that she has become a suspect in a new murder case. This heartbreaking human love mystery begins with a fateful reunion.
In episode 5, the murderer of the supermarket manager is the victim's younger brother, Naoto (played by Daichi Watanabe). After his alibi is destroyed by detective Ryo Minami (played by Noriko Eguchi), Naoto finally confesses to the crime. However, Ryo Minami continues to observe the movements of his classmates, including Makiko (played by Inoue).
Meanwhile, Junichi (Takeuchi), who has been removed from the investigation, secretly contacts Naoto, who is in custody. Naoto is confronted with a shocking secret that he has kept hidden for 23 years.
