Some speculated that it could be the inspector Makita played by Hideaki Ito. Some people said, "If Gido is alive...I predict that Gido is inspector Makita," "I feel like the real Gido has been rebooted as Makita, in order to catch something bigger than Goroku (played by Yukiya Kitamura)," and "Is the rebooted Gido Makita?"
The drama is a suspense story about Hayase Riku, who is framed for the murder of his wife, abandoning his family and past, rebooting himself into the face of corrupt detective Gido, and pursuing the real culprit.
