Episode 16 of the TV anime "Medalist," based on a popular figure skating manga, titled "Queen's Jump," will be broadcast on TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "NUMAnimation" from February 7th.
The second group's competition begins. Until Akira Okamizaki arrives, Yagi Yuuna of Meiko Wind FSC is considered the second most talented athlete after Shachijo Riina. Yuuna prepares to face the competition with a concentrated mind, but her coach, Otori Shinichiro, tells her to go with the planned composition.
"Medalist" is a manga by Tsurumai Kada that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" (Kodansha) since 2020. The story follows Akiura Michiji, a young man who has failed as a skater, who meets Yuzuki Inori, a girl who dreams of becoming a figure skater, and aims to become a glorious medalist as both a coach and athlete. The first season of the TV anime aired on NUMAnimation from January to March 2025. The second season is currently airing in the same time slot. A theatrical anime film depicting the story following the second season will be released in 2027.
