It has been announced that the light novel "Taking Care of a Talented Girl: At a prestigious school full of unattainable girls, I end up secretly taking care of the school's most talented young lady (who has no ability to live independently)" from HJ Bunko (Hobby Japan) will be adapted into a TV anime and will begin airing in July. It is a sweet romantic comedy about Hinako Konohana, who is admired by those around her as the "perfect young lady" but is actually a "lazy girl" with no ability to live independently, and Itsuki Tomonari, an ordinary high school boy who has been appointed to take care of her. It has also been announced that Yuto Uemura will play the role of Itsuki Tomonari and Yoshimi Kohara will play the role of Hinako Konohana.
The anime will be directed by Shusei Morishita, with series composition by Aya Yoshinaga, character design by Hisashi Kawashima, and music by Natsumi Tabuchi, Nanashi Nakamura, and Mao Kurihara. Takeshi Takadera will serve as sound director. It will be produced by Brain's Base. A teaser visual and teaser PV have been released, showing the impressive "lazy girl" image that Hinako displays in front of Izuki.
Uemura commented, "Izuki is a strong-willed young man who has made every effort to survive in a poor living environment. One day, his position changes drastically and he is tossed about, so I made sure to be able to flexibly express his emotions. Also, when the heroine makes a big blunder, Izuki responds with a full-throttle retort! I had fun thinking about how to fit my voice into that comical direction as I approached the recording."
Regarding her role as Hinako, Obara said, "I was conscious of creating a contrast between her ladylike and domestic modes. I was always thinking about how to capture her emotions as well as her facial expressions. As the story progresses, her facial expressions become more expressive, so it's a lot of fun to play her."
