It has been announced that Kubo Shiori, who graduated from the idol group Nogizaka46 last November, will be appearing in the NTV drama series "Winter Something, Spring Something" (Wednesdays at 10pm). While still a member of Nogizaka46, Kubo has expanded her horizons as an actor, appearing in the NHK Taiga drama "What Will Ieyasu Do?" and the NHK morning drama "Anpan." This will be her first drama appearance since graduating.
The film stars Hana Sugisaki and is an original work by director Rikiya Imaizumi, known for films such as "Love is Hard" (2019) and "On the Town" (2021). The story follows Fumina, played by Sugisaki, as she looks back on her past relationships and hesitates as she moves forward in order to seriously confront her current partner.
Kubo will play the role of Sae in the second half of the story, and details of her role will be announced at a later date. Regarding her role, she commented, "As I read the script, I felt a gentle warmth in the conversations. The delicate words that Director Imaizumi gave me were like a sea of white space, and filming while thinking about how to swim as Sae was a truly luxurious experience."
This is his first time acting with Sugisaki, and he said, "It was my first time working with Sugisaki Hana, and her dignified and soft aura was like the spring sunshine, completely enveloping my nervous heart. As a viewer, I'm looking forward to enjoying the conversations and atmosphere that I want to watch forever."
