Singer-songwriter Masaharu Fukuyama appeared at the premiere screening of the film "FUKUYAMA MASAHARU LIVE FILM@NAGASAKI Moonlight - Always Connected to This Light" (released February 6th) held in Tokyo on January 29th. The event proceeded with Fukuyama answering questions from the audience, and he interacted directly with fans who had seen the film.
A fan who is the same age as Fukuyama and lives in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, shared an episode about when Fukuyama first debuted, opening for the Anpanman Show at a local event. Fukuyama responded, "Yes, I went. The Anpanman Show was the final act. As I was getting ready, a staff member came over and said, 'We're running a little behind schedule. We can't move Anpanman up, so can you cut one song out?' It's a good memory," and the audience erupted in excitement.
The film is a direct adaptation of Fukuyama's free live concert "Great Freedom," which was held as the opening day of Nagasaki Stadium City (Nagasaki City) on October 13, 2024. It will be released nationwide on February 6, his 57th birthday.
It was revealed on the day that after the main feature, a special track will be included: a video of him playing and singing the song "Moon" (recorded last November) from the album "Calling" released in 1993.
