Actor Tomio Umezawa and singer Naoko Ken will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1pm on January 29th. They say they are each other's only "best friends" in the entertainment industry.
Umezawa, who never performs onnagata on television, will dance as a female impersonator to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary next week, which Kuroyanagi is very touched by. However, he goes to change because he doesn't feel comfortable talking as a female impersonator, and when he comes back, what does he look like...?
Although both are in their 70s, last year was full of firsts for them. Umezawa says she is proud of being selected through an audition to be a voice actor for the Japanese version of the Disney animated film "Zootopia 2." Ken says he was surprised when he made his first appearance on "Tetsuko's Room Concert." Last year, they both appeared on the show as married couples, and Umezawa's wife's dream was to "go to Yakushima with her husband." What happened to that dream?
