Shohei Nagata of the comedy duo Chocolate Planet appeared as a studio guest at the opening round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), the Rallye Monte-Carlo, which was broadcast live on ABEMA on January 25th.
Nagata, a car enthusiast who owns several cars in his private life, began his talk in the studio by saying, "Actually, I haven't even put it on YouTube yet..." and confessed for the first time that he had purchased Mitsuoka Motor's "M55."
The "M55" is a rare car that was sold by lottery with only 100 units in total, and Nagata revealed, "I applied and won." As the base vehicle is a manual Honda Civic, he excitedly said, "I drive a manual, and it's a lot of fun."
He also revealed that he "really wants a Lancer Evolution," but that in addition to the rising prices, he is facing a serious "parking problem." He revealed that even though he has "collected them over the years" in Tokyo, there are currently no vacant spaces, "none at all," and that he is struggling to find parking spaces to add to his car collection.
