To commemorate the 40th anniversary of singer Hideaki Tokunaga's debut in January, WOWOW has been broadcasting a series of special programs since that same month. The special program includes an "ALL REQUEST" project, in which participants are asked to submit their favorite live shows that have been broadcast or streamed in the past. This time, the program lineup for March and April of this year has been decided based on the most requested "Stages to See Again."
In March, a one-day performance from May 2007, held on the special stage of the Great Lecture Hall at the World Heritage Site Yakushiji Temple (Nishi-no-kyo-cho, Nara City) to commemorate the 1310th anniversary of the consecration of the principal image, will be broadcast on WOWOW Live at 9 PM on March 4th and streamed on WOWOW On Demand (archives will be available for three weeks after the broadcast/streaming ends). Experience the blissful moment of listening to the magnificent space of the glittering Kondo Hall and the National Treasure East Pagoda, and the expansive sky that remains unchanged from the Tenpyo period 1300 years ago, as the melodious singing voice blends seamlessly into the air.
In April, the final performance of the nationwide tour "ONE OF THEM" held from spring to summer 1993, held at Osaka-jo Hall (Chuo-ku, Osaka City) on June 22nd of the same year, will be broadcast on WOWOW Live and streamed on WOWOW On Demand under the title "Tokunaga Hideaki Concert Tour 1993 ONE OF THEM FINAL." This impressive performance features the passionate singing of Tokunaga, who had undergone surgery for vocal polyps at the beginning of the same year and faced a major challenge as a singer.
Since his debut in 1986 with "Rainy Blue," Tokunaga has been known for a number of hit songs, including "Kowarekake no Radio" and "Saigo no Iiwake." In recent years, he has released a hit cover album, and in 2025 he is taking on a new challenge: a nationwide tour called "Tokunaga Hideaki Concert Tour 2025 ALL REQUEST," with the set list determined by fan requests.
In February, from his latest concert tour, where the set list is decided based on fan requests, "Tokunaga Hideaki Concert Tour 2025 ALL REQUEST," held at Showa Women's University Hitomi Memorial Hall (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) on November 1st of last year, will be broadcast on WOWOW Live at 8:15 pm on February 6th and streamed on WOWOW On Demand (archived streaming will be available for three weeks after the broadcast/streaming ends).
In addition, "Tokunaga Hideaki Music Video Collection 2" will be broadcast on WOWOW Live at 10:00 PM on February 6th and streamed on WOWOW On Demand.
Additionally, the "Tokunaga Hideaki Music Video Collection" will be broadcast on WOWOW Live from 7pm on March 4th and streamed on WOWOW On Demand. It will feature music videos for "LOVE IS ALL," "Koibito," "ROUGH DIAMOND," "Koi no Yukue," "Kaze no Eolia," "Yuki no Hana," "Haru Ni Naro," "Orion no Honoo," "Kagayakagara," "Rainy Blue (1997)," and "Kokorekake no Radio."
