A new series of the popular documentary variety show, "Close Up! The Urushiyama Family 2026: A Large Family of 15," which captures the daily lives of a large family with 13 children, six boys and seven girls, will be exclusively streamed on the video streaming service "FOD Premium" from January 25th.
"Close Up! The Urushiyama Family: A Large Family of 15" is a documentary variety show that focuses on Mama Kazuki, who has 13 children (6 boys and 7 girls) and never compromises on housework or child-rearing, capturing the "difficulties" of a large family as well as the "happiness" that comes with being a large family. Covering her closely for 10 years since 2016, the show has covered a variety of events, including two births, her eldest son and daughter leaving home, Mama Kazuki's surgery, and her eldest son's marriage.
The new series will focus on the Urushiyama family's "happy day" throughout the year of 2026. It will follow a day that brings smiles to the faces of the Urushiyama family. It will show the 13 children growing strong and strong every day as they go on to higher education and become independent, the bond that only comes from growing up in a large family, and Mama Kazuki and Dad Toru watching over their 13 children with warmth.
"Close-up! The Urushiyama Family of 15 2026" will begin streaming on January 25th. All 12 episodes will be released on the 25th of each month for a year.
