The latest installment in the remake series of the popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato," "Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199," had its fifth chapter, "The Incandescent Galactic War," premiere on January 23rd at Shinjuku Piccadilly (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), with general director Harutoshi Fukui making an appearance. The main visual for Chapter 5, accompanied by the tagline "The last minute, everything turns upside down," has also been generating buzz. While avoiding spoilers about the "shocking ending," Fukui spoke about future developments, saying, "You might be wondering if it's really over, but it does end properly. I hope you'll stay with us until the end," emphasizing that the series will end in seven chapters.
"Yamato 3199" is a re-imagining of the original works "Be Forever Yamato" and "Space Battleship Yamato III," with a new interpretation added. There are seven chapters in total, with the fifth chapter set to premiere on February 20th.
The stage greeting was attended by Koichi Yamadera, who plays Desler, Nobuhiko Okamoto, who plays Tokugawa Tasuke, Horie Shun, who plays Isidor, and director Yamato Naomichi, and was hosted by Nakamura Eriko, who plays Kiryu Mikage.
