TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Moriya City in Ibaraki Prefecture on its January 24th broadcast.
Moriya City is located about 30 minutes to Akihabara by Tsukuba Express (TX) and about 40 minutes to central Tokyo by car. It is said to be the most livable city in northern Kanto, having been ranked number one for seven consecutive years in the "Eeheya Net City Livability Ranking 2025 (Northern Kanto Edition)." The number of people moving to the area, especially those in the child-rearing generation, is also rapidly increasing, and former Paris Fashion Week model and talent Maya Hayashi has moved to the area with her family.
The program will feature a restaurant with an almost Italian-like countryside view, a monthly train driving experience that is a must-try for train fans, the relocation of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows second team to the town, a 4.6 km forest promenade built by local residents, and the Mount Tsukuba-shaped cream buns, a specialty of this popular service area.
In addition, there are famous handmade soba shops with excellent coffee and soba noodles, "dried sweet potato cheesecake" in the fierce sweets battle zone, a local supermarket that is extremely popular among Ibaraki residents, and a great deal on "Hitachi beef"! A butcher shop with a long line, not scary for children! A dog at the dentist will also appear.
