The film version of the TV anime " The Dangers in My Heart The Dangers in My Heart, " based on the popular manga by Norio Sakurai currently serialized on Akita Shoten's manga site "Manga Cross," held a stage greeting for the completion ceremony on January 17th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo). Shun Horie, who plays Kyotaro Ichikawa, Hina Yomiya , who plays Anna Yamada , and general director Hiroaki Akagi appeared. The film also features the first live performance of "Primary COLOR," the band in which Ichikawa's older sister, Kana Ichikawa, who is affectionately known as "Onee," plays vocals and guitar. Popular voice actress Yukari Tamura plays "Onee," and Horie excitedly commented, "I get to hear Yukari Tamura sing! I was a huge fan when I was a student. I think it'll be amazing."
The film will be made up of re-edited footage from the TV anime, as well as all-new footage of what happens "after" the second season and "that moment between Ichikawa and Yamada." Director Akagi said of the film, "I tried to beautifully portray the emotional changes between the two characters. The new parts were the result of ideas from screenwriter Jukki Hanada and direction by director Chen Darli, and the staff worked passionately on them."
Hitsujimiya, who has already seen the movie version, seemed impressed, saying, "In addition to the new cuts, there are also scenes that have been brushed up and finely adjusted. Some lines have also been re-recorded, and it's turned out wonderfully." Director Akagi revealed, "There are also parts that have been brushed up and redrawn, so I hope you will watch it."
Director Akagi praised Horie and Hitsujimiya's acting, saying, "They were excellent even at the audition. I said, 'I want you to act without being bound by the image,' and I was influenced by their acting and created the image. Ichikawa starts to look like Horie. The staff was also influenced by him."
During the stage greeting, it was announced that Kohana Ram, who sang the theme song for the TV anime series, and the band "Atarayo" would be performing an insert song. Kohana Ram also made a surprise appearance and performed the insert song "Kamisama no Byote wo Owarishita" live.
"The Dangers in My Heart" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) in 2018 and is currently being serialized in Champion Cross (same publisher). It's a youthful romantic comedy about Kyotaro Ichikawa, a nerdy boy with a chunibyo syndrome, and Anna Yamada, a beautiful, outgoing girl at the top of the school's social hierarchy. It has gained popularity, ranking in the "This Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" men's edition for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021, and winning first place in the web manga category of the Next Manga Awards 2020 in 2020. The manga has sold over 7 million copies. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from January to March 2024 on TV Asahi's late-night anime slot, NUMAnimation. The movie version will be released on February 13th.
