The program "NHK MUSIC SPECIAL YOSHIKI ~To the Miracle Stage~," featuring Yoshiki of the rock band "X JAPAN," will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 10:00 PM on January 8th. Yoshiki became the first Japanese person to perform at a World Heritage Site in Saudi Arabia. Despite significant concerns about his health, he overcame numerous challenges and shared his thoughts as a musician who continues to challenge the world from Japan.
Last November, YOSHIKI became the first Japanese to perform at a concert at the Hegra ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. It was a historic event featuring world-renowned artists, and the concert took place on YOSHIKI's birthday. What did he try to express on this milestone day in a foreign land said to have a history of over 2,000 years? He talks about his deep thoughts, including his view of life and death in his music.
The concert rehearsals took place in Los Angeles, USA. The program covers the rare occasions when Yoshiki is working with local musicians to create music. The camera captures the miraculous moment when Yoshiki creates a new song while holding an online meeting with trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, who performed with him in Saudi Arabia.
