A new commercial featuring a collaboration between McDonald's and Masanori Morita's popular manga "Rokudenashi BLUES" was released on January 8th. Actor Gordon Maeda appears as "Maeda Futoshi," the protagonist of the series, and is shown enjoying Spicy Chicken McNuggets with Black Pepper and Garlic along with his friends. This is the first time that "Rokudenashi BLUES" has collaborated with McDonald's. The new commercial will begin airing on January 13th.
The new commercial, "Spicy Chicken McNuggets Black Pepper Garlic 'This is something you can only do now'," is a mix of live action and manga, and includes a scene in which "Maeda Taison" holds a nugget in his hand, stuffs it into his mouth, and makes a determined face as he says, "This is something you can only do now!"
In response to this collaboration, a new visual drawn by Morita, the author of "Rokudenashi BLUES," has been released. It depicts Maeda Taison coolly holding a "Spicy Chicken McNuggets with Black Pepper and Garlic."
"Spicy Chicken McNuggets Black Pepper Garlic" will be available for a limited time at McDonald's stores nationwide from January 14th.
