A public viewing event for the 2026 NHK Taiga drama "Toyotomi Brothers!" (General TV, Sundays at 8pm and other times), starring actor Nakano Taiga, was held in Nagoya on January 4th, with Sosuke Ikematsu, who plays Tōkichirō, among others in attendance. The drama begins on the same day. Ikematsu said, "There have been big events for the 'Toyotomi Brothers!' series up until now, but today was a really big milestone day in the sense that the series has finally been released and everyone has been able to see it."
Ikematsu also expressed his thoughts, saying, "I am truly grateful that everyone came to see the first broadcast in Nakamura, the place where the Toyotomi brothers were born and raised. The applause and smiles that we received from everyone will give strength to all of us, the cast, staff, and team, and I believe they will definitely carry over to the production. Starting tomorrow, we will all work hard for another year to bring you an entertaining drama, so I would be happy if you continue to watch."
In addition to Ikematsu and Nakano, Hamabe Minami, Shiraishi Sei, Sakai Maki, Emma Miyazawa, and Anna Kurasawa also appeared at the event.
"Toyotomi Brothers!" is the 65th taiga drama. It is a success story of hope and dreams, depicting the miracle of the Toyotomi brothers, Hidenaga (Koichiro) and his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro), who achieve the great feat of unifying the country with their strong bond.
